At P&B, we believe training should always be tailored to the individual dog. Every dog learns differently, and our job is to understand what motivates your dog—whether that’s food, toys, praise, or structured guidance—and use that to build lasting success.
We practice relationship-based training and incorporate tools such as slip leads, figure-eight loops, prong collars, and e-collars to support clear and consistent communication between dog and handler.
Please note: E-collars are only introduced on a case-by-case basis. In line with our training philosophy, we only use them once a dog has a solid understanding of our foundational methods and communication style.

Here’s a clearer, more polished version of your statement:
Relationship-based training is a focused approach within the broader framework of balanced training. Balanced trainers use all four quadrants of operant conditioning, combining both reinforcement and correction to shape behavior. As a relationship-based trainer, I prioritize building trust and communication between dog and handler. This method emphasizes cooperation, respect, and understanding—honoring each dog’s individual needs and motivations to create lasting results and a stronger, more connected relationship.

Great question. We require muzzle to keep everyone safe. Dogs who have bitten a human or dog or causes fights with other dogs must wear a muzzle. They can prevent injuries, recorded bite histories and even prevent dogs from ingesting random objects off the ground.
Most of our services are group activities and this is the best way to keep everyone safe.

To prioritize the health and safety of all pets in our care, we require that clients' animals be fully vaccinated, including Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella and a clear fecal for dogs, and Rabies, FVRCP, and Bordetella for cats. P&B reserves the right to cancel appointments if these vaccination requirements are not met, as it is crucial to maintain a secure and protected environment for every pet involved in our services.

We welcome all breeds, including intact dogs.

Should your dog have a history of biting, we're here to discuss the specifics of their bite history and explore suitable programs to address their needs. Please note that for the safety of everyone involved, dogs with a bite history must undergo muzzle training before any service. We recommend reliable options like Dean and Tyler wire muzzles or the Jafco muzzle, both known for their bite-proof design.
